The 2nd High-performance Electronic Device Design & Intelligent Manufacturing High-end (International) Forum of School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering was held at the 1F Report Hall, Old S&T Building, North Campus on October 17, during which Ren Yingkun, Deputy Head of the Communist Party Committee and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection in Xidian University attended the forum and delivered a welcoming speech, while Professor Huang Xinbo, Deputy Director General of Industry and Information Technology Department of Shaanxi Province, Professor Tang Yong from South China University of Technology, Professor Zhao Jian from Dalian University of Technology, Hou Xinbin, Researcher from China Academy of Space Technology Qian Xueshen Laboratory, and Professor Jiang Kaichun from University of Birmingham delivered academic reports for the forum upon invitation. About 300 people participated in the forum, including some alumni representatives and leaders of relevant functional departments as well as teachers and students of the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering. The forum was presided over by Professor Huang Jin, Executive Dean of the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering.

Ren Yingkun expressed sincere welcome to all experts and alumni attending the forum, and warm congratulations on the forum, and also indicated that high-performance electronic device design and intelligent manufacturing is a scientific and engineering issue that requires multiple disciplines and sectors to work in cooperation. It's hoped that this forum can inspire more innovative ideas, and promote more innovative achievements.

Ren Yingkun, Deputy Head of the Communist Party Committee and Secretary of Committee for Discipline Inspection in Xidian University delivered a speech
Wang Congsi, Deputy Dean of the School reported the progress made in scientific research to the guests on behalf of the School, and introduced briefly from the overview of scientific research in the School, the recent progress in scientific research, the main achievements, industry-university-research online platform, etc., and provided an outlook on the development of the School.
Professor Tang Yong made a report titled Promotional Strategies for High-efficient Mini LED Backlight Technologies and Thermal Control Technologies, and focused on introducing the "mechanical milling" thinning technologies after ceramic transitional substrate die bond, thin film ceramic substrate inverted device technologies, and ultra-thin polymer based and flexible VC developed by their teams based Mini LED high-dynamic regulated backlight technologies and quantum dot display technologies as well as the applications in aerospace, the parade in the 90th Anniversary of the founding of the military and Rio Olympic Games, etc., and also predicted the prospect of semiconductor LED devices in UHD display.

Professor Tang Yong made a report
Professor Huang Xinbo made a report titled Digital Economy and Big Data Industry. He expressed that, we are now transiting from industrial economic era to digital economic era, and also introduced the concept, development and characteristics of digital economy and digital China, and analyzed the differences of information economy, digital economy and network economy. Meanwhile, he also introduced their development trends by centering on new infrastructures, 5G, blockchain, and AI, and also made prospects and reflections on the development of big data industry in Shaanxi Province.

Professor Huang Xinbo made a report
Professor Zhao Jian made a report on the Bifurcation Control and Design of Non-linear Resonant Environmental Sensorfor teachers and students. He made a brief introduction about the development of environmental sensor, and discussed over bottleneck problems related to environmental damping and bad real-time performance in engineering applications, and also introduced relevant research progress, for instance, solutions have been found for the technical bottleneck in the bad real-time measurement of traditional differential frequency sensor as well as uncontrollable bifurcation under parameter excitation.

Professor Zhao Jian made a report
Researcher Hou Xinbin made a report on the Future Aerospace Super Engineering-Space Solar Power Station. Firstly, he introduced China Academy of Space Technology briefly, followed by the current development status of domestic and overseas space solar power stations, and then analyzed technical challenges faced by space solar power stations in combination with characteristics of aerospace sector, and put forward the development assumption of space solar power stations.

Researcher Hou Xinbin made a report
Professor Jiang Kaichun from the University of Birmingham made a Report onT-REX Micro-power System and Air Bearingonline. He firstly introduced the wide application and advantages of T-REX, and then the T-REX structure and R&D process, and showed T-REX ignition test online based on the design and experiment result of T-REX main parts, and finally introduced studies and effects of an air bearing with bionic structure.

Professor Jiang Kaisun made a report
After the conference, the School convened a seminar on the reform and development of the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering, and invited all guests and alumni attending the forum to offer suggestions for the "14thFive-year Plan" of the School, and discuss new ideas for development.

High-performance Electronic Device Design & Intelligent Manufacturing High-end (International) Forum is a brand activity created by the School of Mechano-Electronic Engineering over the years, and was held for the second time this year. The forum is set to look forward to the bright future of intelligent manufacturing in China by inviting leading and authoritative experts in the industry to share leading academic progress, and then clear up thoughts and directions of development in the next decade and even longer period, in terms of the advanced design and intelligent manufacturing of high-performance electronic device, and further stimulate vast teachers and students to work on scientific research and academic studies, promote the school in discipline construction and development, gather strength of teachers and students in the School to make constant endeavors for building a "double first-class' school.
