The School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is a base for cultivating high-level talents and scientific research relying on disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Instrument Science and Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanics. The School has 6 departments of Electronic Machinery, Industrial Design, Automatic Control, Electrical Engineering, Measurement and Control Engineering, and Electronic Packaging and a Mechano-Electronic Technology Institute, and it has Key Laboratory of "Electronic Equipment Structural Design", Ministry of Education, "Electronic Equipment Electromechanical Coupling Fundamental Theory and Key Technology" 111 Base, "Comprehensive Engineering Training" National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center and "Complex System International Joint Research Center" Shaanxi International Science and Technology Cooperation Base.

There are 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2 academicians of the Chinese Academy ofEngineering, 2 winners of the " Ho Leung Ho Lee" Science and Technology Award, 3 IEEE Fellows, 3 candidates for the Yangtze River Scholars Program, and 3 winners of the National Outstanding Youth Fund. 1 Chief Scientist of the National 973 Project, 2 Provincial Talent Projects of Shaanxi Province, 5 New Century Outstanding Talents from the Ministry of Education, 4 Alexander von "Humboldt" Fellows , 4 members of the Teaching Steering Committeeof the Ministry of Education, 1 provincial-level teaching teacher, 44 doctoral supervisors, 146 master supervisors, more than 30 professors, more than 100 associate professors and senior engineers.

There are 3 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 3 post-doctoral research mobile stations, and 11 master programs (including 2 first-level discipline master programs).It is one of the colleges with the most majors, the widest subject coverage, strong strength and rapid development in our school."Advanced Electromechanical Engineering", led by Professor Baoyan Duan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is one of the key disciplines of our school's "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform" and "211 Project".
